Grandma Elaine's Rolls

1 cup shortening            
3/4 cup sugar            
1 cup boiling water or milk    
2 tsp salt                   
1 cup cold water            
4 eggs                      
7 1/2 cups flour            
2 TB yeast dissolved in
1/2 cup warm water

Variation of recipe
use only 2 eggs and only 3/4 cup shortening

Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.  Stir till shortening is melted, add cold water, eggs and dissolved yeast.  Mix well then add flour. 
Refrigerate dough over night.  Roll out cut and make rolls.
Let rise 3 hours.  

Bake at 400 for 12 min.

Orange rolls
1/2 cup butter   
1 grated orange peel
1 cup sugar  juice of orange-some-

Roll out roll dough and spread with Orange Spread.  Roll up and cut as for cinnamon rolls. Put in greased muffin tins and let rise 3 hours.  Bake at 400 for 12 mins. While hot spread with thin powdered sugar, orange juice glaze.
